As a part of the exciting new Videogame Nation exhibition at Urbis, running until september, we are proud to present a series of events featuring some of the biggest names in the gaming world.

Introversion: Independent’s Day
Join Mark Morris for an insight into Indie Game development. The producer of Uplink, DEFCON, Darwinia and Multiwinia will discuss the problems faced by small teams and how they still remain independent, followed by a question and answer session.

Jon Hare: Playing for England
Norwich City fan Jon Hare talks about the making of one of Britain’s most fondly remembered sports games of all time: Sensible Soccer. He will compare his game to the current footballing crop and take part in a special Sensible Soccer tournament. The winner will play Jon Hare in the final for the title of Sensi-champion.

Join The Oliver Twins as they chart the history of the infamous egg-like character, Dizzy, which they created when they were still teenagers. Discover more about their early career and their plans for a 3D future.

Jonathan Cauldwell sets about producing a brand new Spectrum game live at Urbis. He will also discuss what motivates him to continue producing games for a system that many believe had been consigned to memory.

Bricking it: Arthur Parsons
Arthur Parsons, head of design at TTGames shows us how toys can be fused with video games to produce fun gaming titles in the LEGO seies such as Indiana Jones, Batman and Starwars.

Sailing the Ocean Waves
Join Key programmers from one of Europe's largest publishers in the 1980's and early 1990's. Thhis animated panel discussion will explore the ideas behind some of Ocean Software's biggest games.

Start a Revolution: Charles Cecil
Revolution Studios boss Charles Cecil has directed some of gaming's most iconic point-and-click adventures including Beneath a Steel Sky and Broken Sword. Charles will take the audience on a fastinating journey through the development of these and other key games.
