Amstrad CPC Games & Computer Systems

Alan Sugar's foray into the UK computer market was met with some success. Whilst the 1990's was dominated by Sony, Nintendo & Sega, the 1980's was the territory of three companies - one of them was Amstrad.

The Amstrad CPC was released in 1984, and was originally designed as a simple word processor and cheap business machine. Whilst not well known for a games machine - some of the conversions were poor alternatives of the C64 and Sinclair versions, but there was a few great games for it, including Moon Cresta, Grand Prix Simulator and probably the best version of Spindizzy available on the 8 bits.
