Centipede was one of the most popular video games of the 1980's amongst women, and it has a place in history as the first game that had rudimentary AI. Featuring a nasty spider that is a pain to destroy, mushrooms, and a centipede which needs to be split up & destroyed a la snake, Centipede is still going strong today in Xbox's Live Arcade.
