With the winter drawing in and the year coming to the end people are heading indoors again, which means they’ll probably be wanting to play some fine video games! A couple of months before Play Expo in Eventcity, Manchester’s Museum of Science & Industry plays host to PLAY It! Manchester, a celebration of retro gaming in the city and further afield. I will be attending one of the days, but in the meantime find out about this exhibition in this week’s post.

Now that the dust has settled on Play Blackpool it has been announced that Play Manchester will take place on the weekend of the 10th and 11th October. In it’s 4th year, this is the UK’s biggest Retro Gaming event, which sees old and new games combine. Tickets are on sale now, but for more details, check out the post here.
Retro Garden recently attended Play Blackpool in the Norbreck Castle for two days of classic gaming beside the seaside. The weather was terrible, but the event was great fun, with a lot of interesting stands and demos. What was worth seeing? The first weekend of May sees the return of Play Blackpool, a large Retro Gaming Event in Blackpool, England. This event saw it’s debut last year, and it’s one of the must-visit events of 2015. Find out more about where to get tickets and where to buy in this post here.
Play Expo is in a few weeks, and one important part of the weekend is the Indie studios associated with the event. Recently Play Expo confirmed the first 14 studios associated with the event. You can check them out here.
