Super Nintendo Review

Super Nintendo
The Super Nintendo was Nintendo’s follow up to the bordering on religion in popularity NES. It was brought out in Japan in late 1990, and eventually was released in all major markets by 1993. Unique selling points included the fact that it had a Mode-7 chip that allowed games such as Mario Kart to move with such speed, Massive library of developers such as Capcom and Acclaim porting arcade hits, and of course Mario. The Super Nintendo eventually overtook the cooler, cheaper and more fun Megadrive (Genesis if you’re from a loser country), and even knocked out searly 32-bit offerings due to the fact that you didn’t need a second mortgage to play great looking games such as Donkey Kong Country.
Nintendo failed to achieve similar dominance upto the Wii, but the Super Nintendo has some of the best games ever made on it. Here are some of my picks.
You can buy Super Nintendo games from the Retro Games shop on Retro Garden.
